Every year the Sound of Music takes place the week leading up to Father's Day! This year, our Club Series kicks off on Sunday, June 11th and the festival in Spencer Smith Park runs from Thursday June 15th to Sunday June 18th, 2023. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Spencer Smith Park - 1400 Lakeshore Road, Burlington, Ontario
Entrance into the park is always free. A VIP Ticket includes entrance to the exclusive VIP Lounge, where you will have access to: Exclusive (Cash and Carry) dining options, not available outside of the VIP Raised and covered viewing deck w/access to limited seating (chairs are first come first served). Upgraded washroom facility - Premium bar options (specialty drinks and exclusive offers) *Note: VIP Lounge is located at the TD Mainstage. Access (West) and Cogeco (Civic) stages do not have VIP Lounges. There are no age restrictions in the VIP Lounge, however all guests must have a valid ticket, including children, as there is limited capacity.
This year, SOM will have Front Row tickets available for both the main TD stage (east end of park) and the Access Storage stage (west end of the park). Tickets include access to the VERY limited front row area where you can see your favourite artists up close and personal. Tickets will be sold by stage and by day. Check out our full schedule to ensure you are purchasing for the right day and correct location!
MINIMAL at best! If coming from out of town, our recommendation is to park at the Burlington Centre and take advantage of Burlington Public Transit. Alternatively, Taxi, Uber, Lyft are all viable options.
Yes, we will have an accessible viewing platform located near the main stage (east end).
Yes, this is located in Lot 12E on Lakeshore Rd beside Spencer's on the Waterfront Restaurant. The designated location will be signed and available throughout the Festival for drop off and pick up of anyone coming to the Festival via any accessible transportation service.
Unfortunately, due to safety concerns and visibility issues, lawn chairs and umbrellas are not allowed during evening performances in the park.
Yes! We will have a variety of Food Trucks and vendors in the park during the festival. Alcoholic beverages will also be available in the tents for anyone 19+ with valid government ID. Not to mention the plethora of great restaurants located in downtown Burlington!
Spencer Smith Park is 100% non-smoking. Smoking is prohibited everywhere on concert grounds. We are not responsible for any action that authorities may take for contradiction of this bylaw. Enforcement may include fine, and removal from the event. Edibles and other cannabis related products are not permitted within concert grounds.
This is a rain or shine event. We don’t stop the show for a bit of rain and hope you will still come out to show your support to these amazing artists regardless of the weather! We do stop the show for thunderstorms, extreme weather, and any other reason we feel it’s not safe to carry on.
Yes. Emergency Services are onsite throughout the Festival, including a First Aid station staffed by St. John Ambulance. This is located behind the Waterfront Hotel at the bottom of Brant St.
Yes, the main Accessibility Path that runs North and South through the middle of Spencer Smith Park is paved with an accessible ramp from Lakeshore Rd. The waterfront promenade running East and West from one end of Spencer Smith Park to the other is also paved and is wheelchair friendly. A complimentary shuttle will be running on a loop in the park from Main Stage, West Stage and Civic Stage during festival hours. Please look for designated park shuttle locations. **Please note, this is not a shuttle taking bringing to the park, but a shuttle IN the park to ease the burden of having to walk between stages.
Yes, portable restrooms that are wheelchair accessible are located throughout the festival grounds, including at all stages & licensed areas. Please consult the site map for specific locations.
Yes, we will once again offer low-sensory times at the Midway. Please check the Midway page on our site closer to the festival dates for the latest updates on schedules.

No! SOM is an independent, non-profit organization. We operate with our own Board of Directors and outside of the purview of the City. We do enjoy a great partnership with the City and couldn't do what we do without them.
