Tim Hortons presents Sound of Music Festival>

You'll see marching bands from across Canada and the United States, the Festival’s official mascot “Maestro”, and whimsical floats and performers. The Grande Festival Parade is fun for the whole family!

The parade begins at Central Park; travels along Caroline Street to Elizabeth Street, west on James Street, then turns north on Brant Street, ending at Central High School.

Road Closures

Saturday June 15 from 10:30 am until 1:00 pm: Drury Lane from Courtland to New St; Caroline St from Drury Lane to Brant St; Elizabeth St from Caroline to James St; James St from Elizabeth St to Brant St; Brant St from Lakeshore Rd to Baldwin St and Victoria Ave; and all of Baldwin St.
Please note that Drury Lane will be closed at New St to Caroline St from 9am.

 

 

EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE...

Here are some exciting acts to look forward to!

South Shore Drill Team from Chicago
inner-city youth drill team combining precision colour guard and dance in enthusiastic high energy routines. This is their first international tour. Over 50 of their members will be performing. They will also perform on Brant St at Elgin St at 2:15 PM
Les Diplomates du Quebec 
from Quebec City a marching band of over 100 members ages between 15-80 who often interact with the audience and include electronic instruments in their concerts. They will be performing on Brant St at Caroline St at 1:30 PM
MPSJ Catholic High School Drumline
35 member drumline from Mississauga in their first appearance at SoMF
Burlington Teen Tour Band  As always, the BTTB will lead the parade with its 200+ members will have just returned from England and France where they represented the Youth of Canada at the D-Day ceremonies on Juno Beach on June 6.
Top Hats Marching Orchestra
A marching band that does everything but march. They stroll, run, dance as they perform popular music in the finest of formal wear. See them again on Brant St at Pine St at 1:30 PM
Pizzazz Baton competitive baton club that competes internationally who will be representing Canada at the World Baton Championships in France this August. They will be performing on Brant St at Caroline at 1:15 PM
