About the Artist

SKAFACE was formed in the Fall of 1988 and are, Lynne Scott (lead vocals), Greg Howley (guitar/vocals), Steve Roberts (bass guitar), Paul Stewart (rhythm guitar) & Ed Troscianczuk (drums).  In 1989 SKAFACE recorded their first four song cassette, entitled, “Skaface” and began performing regularly in Toronto as part of the downtown Toronto/Queen St. music scene.  Their indie music soon gained popularity and in 1991, they recorded their first full length album entitled, “Mamooska”.  Many songs from this album were played on college and mainstream radio and in 1991, SKAFACE won the CFNY talen search.  In 1995 SKAFACE went on to record a third release, “Ask Café”.  SKAFACE have performed with such ska legends as “The Selecter”, “Bad Manners”, “Toots and the Maytals” and the godfather of ska, “Laurel Aitken”.

The band has performed on television with appearances on YTV, CHCH, City TV and CTV and have toured extensively throughout Canada and parts of the USA as well as Molson Park, The Kingswood Music Theatre and the Molson Amphitheatre.

Their songs have appeared on several European & Canadian ska compilations, including Universal Music Canada’s “Ska Trax, The Next Generation”.

SKAFACE are currently mixing new tracks for their 4th recording to be released in 2018/19.
