About the Artist

Hailing from the outskirts of a blue-collar border town in Canada, Eric Ethridge’s journey to country music is one that could be reflected in a country song. He began to play guitar at a young age and started penning lyrics while in high school. Around the same time, he was the captain of his high school football team, which led him to pursue varsity football at Western University. While at school in London, ON, he was a regular feature at many clubs and bars, constantly honing his craft and growing his name amongst the local crowd.

During his time away at school Ethridge never lost touch with his down home roots. As he says in his song ‘With You’, “I may be broke, but I’m rich in many ways.” This is a saying that Ethridge often heard from his father while growing up, and it’s a perspective that he takes to heart. In the beginning of 2014, Ethridge teamed up with a new manager, Jordyn Elliott to take his career to the next level.

Ethridge has a unique and powerful sound, which blends country music with his southern rock roots, and engaging lyrics that relate to his listeners. These songs received a great response from press and fans alike, and brought opportunities to perform alongside some of the top names in country music on his first summer of the Ontario festival circuit opening for Canadian stars such as Chad Brownlee and Brett Kissel and Tim Hicks. He has gained serious interest from local press and music critics alike in the southern Ontario area. The summer of 2015 is proving to be an exciting one, as Eric was recently named one of the top 8 finalists of the Boots and Hearts emerging artist showcase sponsored by Sirius XM, as well as a spot on the Emerging Artist stage of Lucknow’s Music in the Fields. . .

As he continues to build his craft as a performer and songwriter, it is very evident that big things are to come Eric and his team. Currently, he is preparing for his first EP release, and is co-writing many songs with his fiddle player Matt Piché, a two-time Juno nominee.
